ALERT: Communication for customers impacted by the natural disasters.

Our thoughts are with those affected by the natural disasters. We are here to help customers who've been impacted and contact us by evaluating:

  • waiving of certain fees
  • increases in credit limits on their cards to help with additional, necessary purchases

In times like these, people come together to help those in need.  At Synchrony, it’s our job not only to help our customers every day – but also when disasters like these strike.

RV owners know repairs on the road are never fun and no amount of careful inspection before your trip is guaranteed to prevent the unexpected. From a leaking roof to a stuck window, surprise problems certainly put a damper on your RV adventure. Be prepared for some quick fixes with these five essentials. Even better, these small and light additions in your toolbox won’t add too much weight to your load.

1. Waterproof Lubricant Spray

Sitting in tight quarters can quickly become unbearable when the windows in your RV refuse to side open easily. Avoid the stuffy gloom by applying a lubricant like Boeshield T-9® or 3-IN-ONE® WD-40 along the problem sliding track.1 Even a little bit can go a long way. Enjoy the breath of fresh air in your camper without the squeaking windows.

2. Awning Repair Tape

Relaxing under your RV’s awning is an excellent way to stretch out and enjoy fresh air up close and personal. But what do you do when you notice a hole in the awning material? Even a small puncture or tear can rapidly become a larger and expensive problem. As soon as you notice the issue, quickly repair the vinyl or canvas with a durable RV Awning Repair Tape.2 Typically available in a 3” x 15” roll, an immediate application of awning repair tape can help you appreciate time in the shade for the rest of the season.

3. Roof Repair Kit

The awning on your RV isn’t the only material over your head that can cause a problem. A hole in your camper’s roof can cause major water damage and ultimately diminish the structural integrity of your RV. While warning signs like discoloration or decay can be spotted before you leave the driveway, sudden weather conditions can cause hail or falling branches that can also damage your roof. Ready-made repair or patching kits can weigh as little as two pounds and include everything you need for roof repairs on the road, like patches and primer.3Be sure to accurately determine the type of material your roof is made of before purchasing your kit and always seek professional assistance for large-scale, long-term repairs.

4. Putty Tape

Leaks happen inside your RV’s kitchen or bath just as suddenly as above your head. From a leaky sink to a dripping shower head, putty tape is often an easy solution for road repairs when applied correctly.4 Reaching the leaky areas can be a challenge in small camper spaces, so carefully examine water lines and valves before sealing anything with your putty tape.

5. The Synchrony Car Care Mobile App
